Landscaping in Scottsdale, AZ

You have bare dirt, dead plants or a water bill that keeps climbing. Tell us what you picture, and someone from our team will call you back to plan it.

What you get

A desert yard built for Scottsdale summers

You get a yard planned around water, heat and soil, in that order. Drainage carries the monsoon away from the house, irrigation is zoned by plant type, and the planting suits the sun on each bed. Patio, turf and lighting fit the same plan.

It starts with a form or a call. Tell us what the yard does wrong and what you want it to do, and someone from our team calls you back to go over the project, the budget and the timing.

Yard check

5 signs your Scottsdale yard is failing

  1. Plants die every summer in the same spot.
  2. Bare dirt where nothing grew for 2 seasons.
  3. Water puddles against the house after a storm.
  4. The water bill climbs while the yard looks worse.
  5. The yard looks good for 6 weeks after each irrigation fix.

Caliche restricts roots and blocks drainage, and Phoenix averages 111 days at 100 F or higher (National Weather Service (opens in a new tab)). Fix the water and the grade first: planting over a failing system is money spent twice.

5 questions

What people ask us

Still have a question? Call (747) 243-2089 and describe the yard.

How much does landscaping cost in Scottsdale?

Published figures put a front yard project at $1,500 to $5,000 and a full backyard renovation at $15,000 to $50,000, mostly because of hardscape and utilities. These are market ranges, not a quote: the final price is set after an on-site assessment (landscaping cost page).

How long does a landscaping project take?

The approvals can take longer than the work itself. A national cost guide says most projects take several weeks to grade, add topsoil and plant. A backyard with a patio, a wall and a ramada runs longer, because a wall can need engineered plans and city review first.

Do I need HOA approval or a city permit?

Often both. If the property is in an association, its design review comes first, and the rules live in the CC&Rs, not in city code. A fence or wall over 3 feet needs a building permit, and so does dry stack stone or interlocking block over 30 inches (City of Scottsdale, walls and fences (opens in a new tab)). Send us the guidelines on the call back.

Is a small job worth a call?

Yes. Small repairs are taken when the schedule allows. Tell us the job on the form, from one broken sprinkler zone to a full backyard, and say what else the yard needs. Published sprinkler repair prices run $137 to $422 per job.

What happens after I send the form?

Someone from our team calls you back to go over the project, the budget and the timing. Your project then gets a written scope and price, with HOA review and the city permit coming before anything is ordered, where they apply.
